Reading 1: What is globalization?

1. Summary

Generally speaking, globalization is a multi-level and multi-field interconnection with economic globalization as the core, including politics, culture, technology, military, security, ideology, way of life, values, etc. Multiple concepts of influence and restriction. "Globalization" can be summarized as globalization in ten aspects: science and technology, economy, politics, rule of law, management, organization, culture, ideas, interpersonal communication, and international relations.


2. Interesting point

At the same time, globalization is an inflammatory word. Advocates hope that it will bring unprecedented progress and prosperity to the whole world; critics assert

It can bring poverty, war and even cultural genocide in developing countries.


3. Discussion

Is it appropriate to call globalization internationalization?
