Reading Assignment 4: Economic Globalization---LI YULUN

What is the relationship between the economy and globalization? 1) Summary To dispel the stereotype that transnational corporations weaken the autonomy of nation-states, five aspects are explained: the size and geographic distribution of multinational corporations in the global economy, why and how corporations engage in transnational activities, the geographic distribution of multinational corporations, embodied in "firm networks" in multinational production networks, the power relations between multinational corporations and other actors in the global economy. Under the general trend of economic globalization, all enterprises and countries in the world are facing the pressure of structural transformation and economic activities. In the process of this transformation, the market will be re-cleaned, new product markets, new trading partners, and new markets will be created. The field of economic activities, it provides enterprises with advanced technology and advanced manag...

Reading Assignment 3: Political Globalization--LI YULUN

What is the relationship between politics and globalization?  - Gerard Delanty and Chris Rumford 1) Summary In it, the authors illustrate that political globalization involves an approach to the social world that emphasizes post-national and transnational processes and an awareness of the compressed nature of space and time. Political globalization can be understood as the tension between three processes that interact to generate the complex domain of global politics: global geopolitics, global normative culture, and polycentric networks. The spread of liberal democracy has not led to the end of ideology, but to the proliferation of more and different kinds of ideology. Democracies in many parts of the world have produced radically different political cultures. Geopolitics is largely legal but transmitted in global political exchanges. One of the main manifestations of this is human rights, which are at the center of global cosmopolitanism, but which also include environment...

Reading Assignment 2:THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GLOBALIZATION AND CULTURE——LI YULUN

(1). Summary The aim is to reveal the cultural practices of globalization. With regard to globalization, he suggests that it is necessary to think in terms of daily life experiences and to analyze the closeness and uniqueness of it. With regard to culture, he argues that it is necessary to clarify cultural purposefulness in terms of the intricate practical relationship between culture and politics and economics, i.e., what feelings make life full of meaning. He is more concerned with the widely accepted characteristics of culture, and he borrows Williams's famous phrase "culture is common" to explain his own culture. In fact, Tomlinson explores the connection between globalization and culture in terms of hybridization, media proximity, and cosmopolitanism, suggesting that globalization is not only the global movement of capital, labor, and commodities. It also brings about a transformation of our cultural experience. This cultural experience is both secular, universal and...

WOMEDU- Welzel equality-3: Gender equality: education

Image
I chose the topic of gender equality education as the object of analysis and analyzed the data in four countries: China, Korea, Germany, and the United States. And the analysis was specific in terms of age, gender, and education level respectively. First of all, from the point of view of education, most people still feel that education is equal, but in the four countries, there are still differences, the United States in the two considered the most important number of people, followed by Germany, most of the latter two, China and South Korea belong to the same East Asian cultural circle, so also almost similar. From the gender, men in the third are about the same, of which China accounted for the most, but ie the fourth China and South Korea accounted for less, not half of the United States and Germany, while in the first two China and South Korea than Germany and the United States high, the second Korea the most. And in women,  Germany in the fourth item accou...

Reading 1: What is globalization?

1) Summary        By reading what is globalization, it gives me a new understanding and knowledge of the word globalization and how it came to be. People initially had no accepted definition of globalization for the word globalization, and the author cites several eras of definitions of globalization, which probably tell the development of the meaning of globalization, with opposition, from single to diversified, etc. And from several broad categories such as the parameters of the general process of globalization, the dimensions of globalization, the forms of globalization, globalization and global history, globalization is not simply a single economic capitalist globalization, with which the political, cultural and social counterparts necessarily also have many connections and even exclusion. Globalization has also been extensively studied by sociology and history, from which many different dimensional aspects can be found, and we still have a long way to go on the ...
