He explains their influence and purpose in economic globalization and he does so by focusing on 5 issues. The issue he starts with is the scale and geographical distribution of the transnational corporations in the worldwide economy. First, Global geopolitics discusses democracy and how it is one of the bigger forms of political globalization as there is now democratic parties or demand for democracy in most countries all over the world. Next, the dimension of global normative culture. Here the authors talk about the rise of global political communication around topics like human rights or the environment. This creates global norms that are agreed upon worldwide even if they are not created by the state systems. With how technology has advanced over the years it has helped the world population know and understand more about other parts of the world. This new, wide spread of information gives people knowledge regarding foods, fashion, everyday life and other things that they were previously unaware of. Are homosexuals as good parents as other couples. I decided to compare South Korea, USA and the Czech Republic based on their opinion on whether homosexuals are as good parents as other couples. I chose these countries as they are each in a different part of the world, with different cultures, and was curious about what the difference would be. As you can see from the responses above, 52,8% or majority of the people in the United States agrees to some extent that homosexuals are as good parents as other couples, with only 16,6% thinking they are not. Next we have the Czech Republic where 40,3% agree to the statement and 27,8% do not. We also see more people not answering or not knowing how to answer here as compared to the other 2 countries. Finally, when we look at South Korea, we see that only 22,7% agree, with 40% disagreeing and 37,3% being neutral. They point out that due to all the previous research regarding globalization, there are already many different views and opinions, and that these views also differ from one civilization to another.
