1. What is globalization

The development of globalization is not only a historical process, but also a comprehensive process of social change, which starts from the economic field and continues to expand to the political, cultural and other fields. Sociology defines globalization from the perspective of the increasing significance of human interaction, that is, the connection between human groups, which gradually strengthens with the development of society, and finally forms the global connection, which is called globalization. Some scholars believe that globalization is a global network of finance, information, capital and ideas, which crosses borders and turns markets into world markets.


2.The relationship with culture

Globalization is the trend of The Times, and the integration of world cultures is deepening. Various civilizations are innovating and developing through constant exchanges and integration.

The economic base determines the superstructure. Under the background of economic globalization, cultural globalization has become inevitable, and every country hopes to spread its culture to every part of the world.

For a major developing country with a time-honored and distinctive civilization, it is important to balance cultural security and cultural openness in the context of globalization. However, in today's world, culture, economy and politics blend with each other, and the competition between countries has been elevated from the economic level to the cultural level, which is specifically reflected in the competition of cultural models and cultural industries. The development of cultural industries is one of the most important ways to prosper national cultures. In the cultural world, countries and national cultures with weak economic strength and soft power are easy to be swallowed up.
