Cultural Globalization

1. Summary
Culture is what creates the meaning of life. Here, meaning has the deep importance of human conditions and can be treated the same as material things related to Senggye. Culture is not only a situation in which events can be interpreted meaningfully, but also a primitive situation in which human institutions are created and occurred. The book identifies how culturally informed regional behavior can affect globalization. One speculation about the globalization process is that it will lead to a single world culture. Increasing global connectivity is that the world is economically or politically unified in the broadest sense. Some Western critics say that globalization pushes globalization into an all-out global culture. What the book emphasizes is that the trend of universalization The particular culture that we universally master is not limited to both religious worldviews and pre-modern cultures, but can be seen at the core of the rationality of the European Enlightenment. So what we have to do now is to avoid violent competition and to operate globalism in a way that does not impose any particular model of cultural refraction in the word 'world citizenship' is perhaps the most immediate and cultural challenge facing us.
2. Interesting Point
In the long run, it was most interesting that the 'weakening' of traditional ties between cultural experiences and geographical areas demonstrated the most extensive effects of cultural globalization. It is said that deprivation of regional rights does not simply lose the experience of local culture, but the specificity, nuance, and differences created by the region completely disappear. The book introduced cities that maintain a high level of cultural characteristics, saying that they clearly have their own cultural feelings that are quite different from Run Runn, Madrid, New York, Tokyo, and Beijing. In the case of Korea, this part was interesting because I thought that it was erasing a lot of Korean feelings by applying only foreign advantages. It was impressive to read this part, thinking that when there is a new trendy place, it is named in English, and even the drop-off button on the bus is designated only in English, so I hope Korea can improve it.
3. Discussion Point
In the book, what can be called cultural remoteization is an important difference in life in the 21st century. This distinction is said to be identified as a unique form of mobility that does not involve actual physical movement. Around the world, people use the metaphor of mobility as the Internet and Television are also described as a form of virtual travel. For Insan, de-territorialization is a unique and useful experience. In this part, I think this part has been further developed and accelerated due to the recent coronavirus outbreak. I would like to talk about what happened in this part when applied to the current situation, not the relatively past example in the book.
