 World Value Survey: Political system

I researched the survey about how people think political system, 'army rule' and 'democratic political system' in *Korea, China, Japan. Full question is "I'm going to describe various types of political systems and ask what you think about each as a way of governing this country. For each one, would you say it is a very good, fairly good, fairly bad or very bad way of governing this country?". 

First, Under graph is the respond about 'having army rule'.

According to these graph, China is more positive about 'having army rule' than Japan and South Korea. China respond: Very good- 11.1%, Fairly good- 28.9%, Very bad- 10.1%. However, Korea and Japan seem very negative about 'having army rule'. Korea respond: Very good- 1.4%, Fairly good- 16.1%, Very bad- 44.8%. Japan respond: Very good- 0.3%, Fairly good- 1.6%, Very bad- 73.4%. 

If I were to guess, why Korea seem very negative about 'having army rule' , It is because that Jun Doo-hwan government. Our country has endured long-standing rule under a dictator. In that time, there were many victims. Press also was not free, so reporters can not write the article about Jun Doo-hwan government. Therefore, almost people in Korea think negative 'having army rule'. 

Meanwhile, why Japan seem very negative about 'having army rule'? I think, because it is the second World War. In past, Japan had invade many country, had many war. Finally, in the second World War, Japan was defeated horrible. Because of the history like this, Japanese hate 'having army rule', I guess.

According to these graph, interestingly, China is also positive about 'having democratic system' than Japan and South Korea. China respond: Very good- 32.4%, Fairly good- 57.9%, Very bad-1.3%. I thought, China respond is more positive than two countries about 'having army rule', It is because China is Communism country. Communism have the nature of general rule, so I guessed like that. However it wasn't. Anyway, If I were to continue guess, some Chinese have discontent about Chinese government or The countries have close relationship with China have almost democratic system. Therefore Chines is positive about 'having democratic system'. (ex. Korea, USA, etc)

   I compared Korea, China, and Japan using Hofstede's dimension. What are the cultural measures of neighboring countries with similar cultures? Hofstede's dimensions_ Comparing South Korea, China, Japan (MINJI JEONG)

       Korea, China, and Japan are three neighboring countries in Central Asia and have many cultural connections. Therefore, the three countries were compared through the Hofstede's index. First, it is Power Distanced. This is an indicator of the hierarchical degree of each country. The hierarchies of the three countries are in the order of China, Korea, and Japan.      In terms of individualism , Japan has the highest score of 46. It can be interpreted that this item means the degree of personalization of the country. In comparison, China and Korea recorded around 20 points. This is presumed to be largely influenced by 'collectiveism', a virtue of society that has been emphasized since ancient times.   This can also be found to be related to the number of masculinity .
