Reading Assignment 4: Economic Globalization--SUNDAIYANG

 1.Summary

It is mentioned in the article that multinational corporations are the main body of economic globalization, and economic globalization is the result of economic globalization. Economic development accelerates economic development, expands market horizons, and improves productivity. Economic globalization improves the efficiency of enterprises and expands the national economy. And in the international business literature, it is customary to think of MNEs as developing sequentially, starting with achieving a strong domestic market positioning and then emigrating abroad. This is achievable through greenfield investments or acquisitions. More importantly, the emergence of a new generation of multinational corporations, especially in knowledge-intensive industries, has led to a situation that does not necessarily require companies to go abroad before going overseas in the domestic market. Traditional institutions discourage some institutional innovations and promote others. However, this does not mean that the TNC nationality of a particular TNC is the same. The interconnectedness of the modern world economy means that influence can spread rapidly across borders. This inevitably affects the way business organizations are organized and run.

Second, the company does not have to be large and/or have a domestic market dominance before starting to establish an overseas business. From the perspective of economic globalization, transnational corporations (TNC) are leading the global economy, mainly distributed in developed countries, and there are many TNCs in developed countries. With the economic investment in developing countries, there are also local multinational companies. The number of multinational corporations worldwide has also increased.

2.Interesting point

Because of economic globalization, there are more and more multinational companies, but they all have a single model. I look forward to seeing more interesting cooperation models.

3.Discussion question

Because many multinational companies are concentrated in developed countries, and most companies have cooperative relationships, if several multinational companies owning a certain technology have monopoly behavior, how should the world find a solution?
