1)Summary

Globalization is not only a process of integration, but also a process of diversification. In this process, different life forms interact, understand the world, express their views on the world, and also confirm their identity. Therefore, a remarkable feature of Robertson's globalization theory is that he regards globalization as a process of contradiction and unity, acknowledges that globalization and deglobalization occur and proceed simultaneously, attaches importance to the analysis of the global cultural system, and believes that cultural pluralism is a constituent feature of contemporary global conditions, including the symbolic response to globalization and the concept of explaining the world system, These in themselves are important factors that determine the trajectory of globalization. Global culture cannot and should not be a single culture or homogeneous culture, not to mention the culture of a certain cultural center, but a global culture composed of multiple cultures.


2)Interesting point

I think the interesting thing is the global cultural system state revealed by Robertson's cultural system theory shows us the theoretical prospect of viewing all aspects of globalization from the perspective of culture. This view of cultural system state means that there is no single and unchanging logic or integrity, so it is a relative state of mobility. This has important reference value and theoretical inspiration for us to break the one-dimensional perspective of politics and economy and understand the integrity and diversity in the process of globalization.

    I support globalization. Take my own personal experience as an example, the integration of globalization is getting deeper and deeper. It is more and more convenient to travel abroad. Secondly, in terms of consumption, when buying a camera, I actually found that there are almost no domestic brands that I know well. Buying these apps with Tmall International, JD.COM International and Koala also makes foreign products closer and closer to us. Many large supermarket chains will also set up foreign imported food counters, which are not expensive. So I really feel more and more that the distance of the whole world is shrinking, and I can feel the "global village" more.
