What Is Globalization?
Roland Robertson and Kathleen E. White
1. Summary
Different parts of the world have different cultures, societies, and politics. This is because the word globalization comes out even though they have different things, and what has come to be called is a latent "unique characteristic." It is globalization that can be connected by empathizing with and empathizing with its unique characteristics.
There is no exact accepted definition of globalization, but to some extent, we can talk about relatively emerging points.
A scholar named Belho called globalization an object, a perspective, a horizon. Interest in globalization has been raised since the late 1970s, and its interest is now increasing. Globalization does not necessarily have only good things. Some are called anti-globalization movements, and so much interest in globalization is being made through organizations such as the World Trade Organization (WTO). Although Willoughston does not recognize the concept of globalization, many scholars have used his research aspects to deal with the subject.
At the heart of the attempt to characterize globalization are three things. The first is that globalization consists of two main trends: an increase in global connectivity and an increase in global awareness. Based on a shared sense, not an agreement. The second is that it has a specific form that has been completed in all its meanings and purposes by the establishment of the UN body. It focuses on four reference points: nation-state, world politics, individual, and humanity. I think I can say more systematic and specific globalization. Finally, globalization encompasses cultural, social, political, and social aspects. Not everyone is individual, but they interact and are closely related to each field.
There is no definite answer to the question "What is globalization?" but I think we can understand globalization when we can share everything we feel and experience directly in that space and in that time with many countries.
2. Interesting things
"We pay attention to the components of humanity."
Globalization is not something people can do alone (individual), one country alone (state). It's not about two or three, but dozens or hundreds. Nevertheless, if you look closely at this globalization, it can be seen that it is done by paying attention to the components of humanity. This is just curious and interesting.
Although there is something that cannot be specifically said about globalization and it is difficult to define, it is clear that it has a lifestyle that is closely related to our daily lives. It is a country and people who have never faced each other, but they are connected, and they show similar patterns because there is something called globalization. Therefore, it was interesting that globalization paid attention to the components of mankind.
3. Discussion point
"Globalization is only a macroscopic process, a process that excludes individuals. From the real daily life, the realm of global change, we can now point out a significant portion."
I think it is necessary to discuss whether globalization is only a macroscopic process. I think that until there is globalization, individual life, individual groups, countries where groups are gathered, and countries are gathered. Then, if we look at the process of globalization backwards, I think we cannot exclude individuals because it can be a microscopic process.
