“What is the relation between culture and globalization?”

Globalization means becoming a community that transcends national borders through technological innovation.

In the process of globalization, cultures are fused, created, and transformed.

In the process of cultural fusion, a relatively weak culture is sometimes eaten by a strong culture.

Weakness means that the culture does not extend beyond its own country to other countries.

In the case of insufficient information and communication and transportation technology due to the lack of national infrastructure, the culture of a country that is more strongly affected by globalization due to its political structure is inevitably more passive in globalization than in the opposite country. 

In this case, the culture of one's own country is destroyed.

As an example, we try to follow Western cultural attitudes. Because their culture is driving globalization.

The fusion of cultures is essential in the process of globalization.

Localization is a prime example of this. Pizza used to be a local food in Italy, but now it is available in various forms such as American pizza and Korean pizza.

Globalization and culture are mutually exclusive relationships.

   I compared Korea, China, and Japan using Hofstede's dimension. What are the cultural measures of neighboring countries with similar cultures? [Masculinity]  Japan's index was the highest with 95 points. I think this is related to the indicator of individualism. In the case of individual-centered Japan, not group-centered, it focuses on individual performance and shows a strong preference for achievement or success. Hofstede's dimensions_ Comparing South Korea, China, Japan (MINJI JEONG)

       Korea, China, and Japan are three neighboring countries in Central Asia and have many cultural connections. Therefore, the three countries were compared through the Hofstede's index. First, it is Power Distanced. This is an indicator of the hierarchical degree of each country. The hierarchies of the three countries are in the order of China, Korea, and Japan.      In terms of individualism , Japan has the highest score of 46. It can be interpreted that this item means the degree of personalization of the country. In comparison, China and Korea recorded around 20 points. This is presumed to be largely influenced by 'collectiveism', a virtue of society that has been emphasized since ancient times.   This can also be found to be related to the number of masculinity .
