World Values Survey:Respect for individual human rights nowadays (South Korea, China, Japan by age)
I compared the perceptions of three countries, China and Japan, which are adjacent to Korea, on respect for individual human rights.
Since the issue of individual human rights corresponds to a basic human right, all of them should be respected regardless of the country.

In the case of Japan, it can be seen that the percentage of respondents to 'Don't Know' is high every time regardless of age.
In addition, the younger the respondents were, the more they felt that individual human rights were not respected or that they were not familiar with respect for individual human rights.
South Korea is the age groups, individuals I think that respect for human rights more than 80 percent response. 82.2% of Koreans chose 'Fairly much respect' in the 30-49 age group, the highest response rate among all respondents.
In addition, looking at the Korean response of each indicator, there is a characteristic that there is no 'Don't know' and 'No answer'.

Finally, China had the largest number of people who answered that individual human rights were respected. It occupies the highest response rate of 'A great deal of respect' in all tables. Referring to the table of those in their 50s and older, 34.4% of China said they were fully respected, accounting for the highest satisfaction among 'A great deal of respect' respondents.
Except for Japan, the sum of "A great deal of respect" and "Fairly much respect" in Korea and China exceeds 80% in all age groups. From the above data, it can be seen that Japan has a lower awareness of respect for individual human rights than the other two countries.
Looking at "The Angelhart-Welzel World Cultural Map 2022," it can be seen that all three countries, Korea, China, and Japan, belong to the "Confucian" area. I think it emphasized traditional secular values and showed higher satisfaction because individual human rights were also educated. In addition, since all three countries belong to developed countries, I think these results can be seen.
