Reading Assignment 3:  Political  Globalization?   


 


(1) Summary

"Political globalization means the identification trend of political values and political systems among countries, which is first manifested in the convergence of democratic values with freedom and equality as the core content and the universalization of democratic systems that guarantee the full realization of freedom, equality and human rights. In the context of political globalization, people’s political values will inevitably be changed by the political environment. Political values are divided into two types due to their different subjects. One is the dominant political consciously constructed by macro political subjects. The second is the political values formed spontaneously or consciously by micro-political subjects. In the context of political globalization, we can study my country's political values ​​by dividing the construction of macro-subjects and the spontaneous formation of micro-subjects.

(2) Interesting point

This is a complex and simple issue. It is hard to tell right from wrong, and the interests involved are very complicated. I think we can study from one aspect, such as humanitarian intervention and whether it is reasonable and legal.

 (3) Discussion points

After political globalization, will there be more advantages or disadvantages?

Hofstede's dimensions_ Comparing South Korea, China, Japan (MINJI JEONG)

       Korea, China, and Japan are three neighboring countries in Central Asia and have many cultural connections. Therefore, the three countries were compared through the Hofstede's index. First, it is Power Distanced. This is an indicator of the hierarchical degree of each country. The hierarchies of the three countries are in the order of China, Korea, and Japan.      In terms of individualism , Japan has the highest score of 46. It can be interpreted that this item means the degree of personalization of the country. In comparison, China and Korea recorded around 20 points. This is presumed to be largely influenced by 'collectiveism', a virtue of society that has been emphasized since ancient times.   This can also be found to be related to the number of masculinity .
